Hi Merlin our 5 month old puppy lost his first tooth at the weekend and has been chewing everything for weeks so I am pretty sure he is teething....we have had two other dogs go through this and i really cannot remember them suffering from a runny bum..is this normal?....We have been feeding him on a bland diet for nearly a week and by the end of the day the runny poo returns...any suggestions?

How runny is runny is the question?  If he's passing simply loose stools it may be diet related, you don't say what the bland diet is.  However if it is liquid and he's been doing it for a week I'd get him off to the vet, again it could be diet related and perhaps an allergy.

I did wonder if it was his food but he has been on James Welbeloved for 5 weeks and has been fine up until a week ago...Since runny poo has started we have been giving him tinned perscription ID and now chickn and boiled rice..it is not filling him up though actually heard his tummy rumble this morning...there are more solid poos than loose today so fingers crossed he is going in the right direction..
