We have had our 4 month old puppy for 2 weeks and house training has been going well but he has just peeded about 12 times in the last 3 hours most of whih are inside...could he have a chill or water infection?

I am wondering if pup is starting to scent mark rather than just wee or it's along shot is there a bitch in season locally or a maybe a new dog on the scene......... I understand that most cleaners don't disolve the scent crystals in dog wee, I am going to suggest trying a biological washing powder or liquid to disolve the crystals, you can of course buy so called "purpose made" cleaners for dog wee. . . . Of course I could be totally wrong............

Like BM says, use a purpose made dog wee cleaner, but keep a close eye on your puppy as it could be an infection. If in any doubt, consult your vet, don't take chances with a 4 month old youngster.

Tallie went through a faze of weeing a lot so I now give her a cranberry tablet very day as bitches are more prone to water infections. Don't use products with ammonia in as this will encourage the pup to wee more (mark) biological washing powder like BM has said is excellent for removing the wee. I'm from Bristol too Jo
