Hi I have just chosen my first working cocker spaniel puppy not an easy task they are all beautiful. It is a dog from Wiillows litter (see pictures in Photo Gallery). The breeder is very friendly and knowledgable and is keen to make sure the puppies all go to good homes.

We hope to do a some gundog training and maybe a bit of agility with him. All the family are very excited about collecting our lovely puppy in August. I think that we will spend most of our time between now and then counting the days.

Any helpful hints and tips would be greatfully received.

HI and welcome to the forum.

It is lovely to hear that new owners wonder why they didn't have a cockier sooner, rather than wish they had never had one!!

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask, you will get lots of advise from everyone.

Hi Jackie, glad you joined this forum its great for anything you want to know, little Gibbs is doing fine, makes me chuckle the way he just sits and watches the others running round and playing, not a care in the world.    See ya all soon x

Hi

Cockers - once you are hooked that's it they are an incredibly special dog and I could talk about them all day (apologies to my ESS who I love too) - it took me 20 years to find this breed after getting to know two local working cockers but me and hubbie are hooked for life now.

Enjoy :)

We're hooked too. Jura is growing up fast, looking for instruction and ready and willing to learn. I just hope I am smart enough to keep up.
