There is a gorgeous 7 month old chocolate cocker bitch called Poppy who needs a new home.

She is at Caesar rescue kennels.  There is a photo of Poppy on the site :)

http://www.caessr.org.uk/dogs-needing-homes.html

Poppy is a 7 month old Chocolate working type Cocker, who needs a new home as her owners are unable to cope with her boisterousness. Poppy is a very well loved dog, who has been living with two small children, three cats and another dog. She is very good with the children, but she needs a more active family, who are able to give her the time and training that she requires. She regularly escapes from the garden and her owners are worried that she will chase the sheep nearby. Poppy pulls a lot on the lead. When off lead she responds to a whistle, however, when she gets a scent she is very difficult to retrieve. She travels well in the car.

I saw this as well, she looks fab - right up until the point I read she escapes from the garden!  I've already got a chocolate bitch, tho, mustn't be greedy ...

I have a freind looking for just such a pup. I have tried the link & either get an error message or a warning that the site is unsafe. Can someone help with a clear link?

Try this, either copy and paste or if you have windows 7 highlight it right click and choose the search with google option

I hope you were able to get to the CAESAR web site :)

I don't know how to post direct links.  As Bramble Monkeys suggests, you could try putting Caesar dog rescue into a search.

Please let us know if your friend is successful.

Sorry on reflection I should of course  have said if you are using Firefox not windows 7 for the google shortcut option.

Hi - pleased to report Poppy is now living with her new forever family and hasn't escaped from the garden yet!! Her recall leaves rather a lot to be desired but we hope to work on that. You can never have enough chocolate ladies - we already have 1 and Poppy makes 2 ( my friend has 4!!):)

Oh, that's great Sarah - delighted to hear Poppy's found a lovely new home.  Very pleased for you - and more than a little bit envious ... I shall bear in mind your comment about never having enough chocolate!!!
