I am really really new to this site, and own a 9 month old WC, he is the most amazing dog, he was bred by a game keeper and both his parents are working, responds well to the whistle and hand signals and is a busy dog whilst out on walks, having never trained a gundog for the field I don't have a clue what i should or shouldnt be teaching him, he wants to please all the time and is always looking back at me for the next signal/command, I would like to know if any one on here knows of a gun dog trainer in Kent that could give me help and advise, not sure what you have to have? Or who you have to be to get in to field trials, I would be very interested in any help or pointers into the right direction, Thanks x

There is a Kent Working Spaniel Club and details for them (and others) are on

There are a few trainers down that way...  Tony Price link is http://www.tawnyhillgundogs.co.uk/

I cannot recommend any particular trainer but as long as you like the person and get results... just shop around :-)

Good luck x

Thank you Christine, I totally forgot about Tony price at tawnyhill, I bought my first springer from him 17 years ago, I'm a bit scared coz I really don't know what to expect but I guess I never will until I give it a go! X
