At the moment I am just putting out some feelers.  A friend phoned me yesterday asking me if I knew anyone who would be interested in homing her wcs bitch, she'll be 10 months on the 11th of this month.  Her name is Tilly and she's solid black and is the litter sister of my Reef. I was shocked when she told me she was going to rehome her, maybe she thought I would take her on,  but I can't have anymore bitches living in the house as the boys spar with each other as it is and I'm having to have Kimmy spayed next week, due to the fights that broke out last season time.

They do have some one in mind who offered them £600 for her several weeks ago ( why I don't know as she isn't trained ) whether it was a genuine offer I don't know, but I did say to my  friend she should be looking for a good kind home before money was mentioned. I will update when I have any news. If anyone is interested please let me know.

Dog is in Cornwall

Do you know why they are planning to rehome her?  Does she have behaviour problems, for example, or is it due to personal circumstances?

No Elspeth she doesn't have behavior problems, she's very much like Reef with a gentle nature. It's down to personal circumstances.

Pauline I am sorry to hear that this little WCS bitch needs a new home but if she is anything like your Reef to look at I am sure she will not hang around for long. :) He is very handsome!

Do you know if she has started any training at all yet? What is her breeding line? What sort of home are they looking for, for her?

Hi Elaine

I've known Tilly since she was born as my dog Kes is her Father, you can see him on WCO pro health site on stud dogs. The owners of Tilly and her Mum have a farm so the 2 dogs  have  fields and more fields to run and play in. They raise free range chickens for eggs and both dogs are very gentle with the birds. Tilly has had no formal training and tends to copy whatever her mother does. Her owner has done a little home agility with her. Her pedigree has the usual sprinkling of  FT CH the closest being her G.Grandfather Maesydderwen Scimiter. They would like her to go to an active home and definitely  not one where she'd be kennelled all day.

Hi Ali

No   the owners had a change of mind. I think it was a big wind up between husband and wife, a threat to make the husband do more with the dogs day to day care. I certainly lost some sleep over it.

I wonder if the plan worked and if it would work with using human kids instead of a pup ?

Usually these sort of ultimatums only work for a short time, so watch out and see if the pup is re offered.

I don't think it will happen again. We've become good friends since the pups were born and there would be a mighty big fall out if it was mentioned again.
