In a couple of weeks time I will officially have a little black cocker all of my own! :D So much for waiting a year. lol

Thanks to Chell (Cedarose) for letting me have one of Tyler's babies. He's completely gorgeous and so funny. Will post some piccies as soon as I have some. Any help on a name would be really appreciated.

These are the boy names I liked.....ace, apollo, caspar, major, oscar, prince, romeo, samson, star, simba, zack and zeus.....but we went for a girl so none got used, although her littermate was also romeo.

Congrats on your soon to be new arrival - will be very exciting!

My puppy now has a name...'Storm'. I've only told you guys, as everyone else around me has trashed every name I've come up with, which then puts me off it. So I'm keeping it quiet until I pick him him, then I'll introduce him as Storm and they can't say anything. :)

His cage arrived yesterday and it's already set up with his little bed. So excited. Doesn't show much does it. lol

Know what you mean about people trashing your chosen names, we've had the same thing. Storm was on our list, but we've ended up naming him Louie. Enjoy your little fellow.

I like the name as well Claire, don't let anybody dissuade you... I have had a girls name for months, but not a boys name, and I am still thinking!

I had a name ready for my pup. he was to be called Quinn. However when I went back to pick him up I decided it really didn't suit him and then spent the next three days calling him "pup pup" He is now called Scree which is shortened from "Sgriobag" (Pronounced Screebag) and means "get squiggling" perfect for such a wriggly, squiggly pup :D

I also have a "Ruraich" which means "to rummage, grope, and explore" ! (you'll find out why this is an appropriate name for a cocker!!) He gets called Roo :D My first cocker (black) was called Dubh (Doo) which simply means black. However this meant that when I got Roo and called one or other they both came back as roo and doo are a bit too similar

I like Storm. Good choice:)

Storm is a great name for a cocker, I would not worry what other people think, after all its your cocker, , Daisys KC name is Toffee Sox, But being a gardener, she had to have a plant name really, So Daisy it was..

I don't know what his KC name is yet so that was no help. Trouble is, I found a few names I loved but they were useless for agility! Names need to be either short, or easily shortened. I loved the name Cracker but no way was running round an agility course calling 'Crack!'

Glad you all like it. I'm still refusing to tell anyone from agility. He'll be introduced once I've got him home. Seems like such a long way away. :( He feels 'real' now that when I refer to him I say Storm and not puppy.

Storm is a great name. We have had the same problem with our new pup, we quite liked Fletch, but you can't really shout Fetch Fletch easily can you.

Eventually settled on Woody, but then Toy Story 3 came out, and it's been "oh off Toy Story then" ughhh!! We chose him on Sunday and decided that it didn't really suit him so then after a little help we decided on Indy.

Oh I've just noticed Claire you have an Indy too!! :)

I think Sooty and Sweep are really sweet names, and suit cockers perfectly.

Wendy, I get Storm in 11 days, not that I'm couting lol. Am trying to keep myself as busy as possible to make it pass quickly, and also make sure I get all those little jobs done that I've been putting off but know once I have a puppy wont get done.
