Judging has been difficult this month with so many lovely pictures of such a high quality, Rachel and I have discussed the photos at length and agreed that the emphasis has to be on a seasonal photograph, high quality and suitable for a calendar.
Winner ~ Number 8 ~ Water Baby in front of the April Blossom ~ Beautiful, clear, central and very representative of the season.
2nd ~ 20 ~ Katy's 1st Birthday ~ We debated long and hard as this was also a very nice, clear seasonal picture.
3rd ~ Number 11 ~ Sweepie ~ Lovely colour and tones and your eyes are drawn to the dogs features.
4th ~ Number 9 ~ Harley - Goldblend90 ~ Clear and central with a nice background.

Milly is right, it was a close call for first and second, and the standard of the pictures is excellant. Congratulations to Jem and Bertie with the winning photo, and all of the runners up. Please don't forget, that although the winning photo is the one that will feature for the month in the Calendar, all the runners up also go into the competition to be judged by Nick Ridley, and prizes will be awarded to third place.:wink: Can't believe we are whizzing into May already..........have fun in the coming month.:D | |

Ooo we are well chuffed getting 3rd, sweepie says thanks a million, trying to photograph her is a nightmare and think i probably took about 200 picturesof her that day to get one or 2 half decent ones. I think im gonna have to invest in some velcro

Oh WOW!!! Thank you so much. It's great to win April as it's my birthday month so that is lovely thank you! Oh what a great way to start the bank holiday! Well done to everyone, it was a really tough month, the standard is getting very high indeed! | |

How lovely, Katy's 1st birthday and my favourite native wild flowers - only took my camera on the walk in case I found some bluebells. Thank you so much this has made my day!

I love Bluebells too Judi. Nothing beats the smell of walking through a field of them, does it? Smashing photo. The colour of the Bluebells really shows Katy's colour off beautifully. The other winners are great too. | |

well done to the winner and three runners up! there were some great photos this month, a very hard decision for the judges but i think they chose very well...well done judges!
