It has been said over the years, that kiddology is a good tool to use when communicating with our cockers......they should be conned into thinking that, for example, coming back to you was their idea, nothing to do with the exciting treat or toy you have in your hands at all, or the fact that you are running like a looney in the opposite direction, or hiding behind a tree!!! In our house the kiddology theory was reversed.....................

Some of you might remember a few months back that Keeper had an overnight stay at the emergency vets, having consumed a large amount of vet bed. Having experimented, we came to the conclusion that the green backed vet bed was less chewable and started to give him vet bed in his crate at night, along with things that he could chew, like a bone or chewstick. For about 6 weeks, this seemed to work, and the vet bed remained intact..........................

......having lulled us into a more relaxed state, the other night I went to work, and yes, I forgot to give him something to amuse himself...........my husband came home and let him out, and at first glance he thought Keeper was carrying the vet bed out, so he held onto the vet bed and encouraged him out of the crate, only to realise, that the little monkey, had eaten a huge hole in the middle and was wearing the vetbed like a poncho/cape, behind his front legs.................no dire effects this time fortunately, but we're back to 'nothing' in his crate again now....................kiddology on another level:D
