We've heard from various members what some of us do to earn a crust. I thought it might be interesting to know what else we are passionate about apart from our WCS.

When I have some spare time,  which isn't often at the moment, I love to cook, and enjoy trying different recipes and experimenting in the kitchen, my OH favourite is my chilli con carne, and it has been known in the past to make him sweat and I swear there was steam coming from his ears LOL Although he loves my roast dinners too.  On the sweet front my forte is trifles but I try not to make them too much as they are very 'naughty but nice'

So care to share what you enjoy doing when you have spare time?

I am passionate about carriage driving.. not the posh stuff.. the speed competition carriage driving thro osbtacles ( Bodecia style but without the blades!!) I also love teaching and gained my horsemasters at the tender age of 18, rode dressage to medium level and decided that was way too boring so broke my warmblood to harness!

I had to give the horses up as it is shockingly expensive but it still remains a underlying passion....

I'm afraid I'm very boring and my dogs are my only passion!  It's a rather all consuming one though so not sure I'd fit anything else in!

I do love food though...eating it more so than cooking it it has to be said!  :D

Another cook here.  Having lived abroad in the past I like to dabble with recipes that I have brought back along with trying out different things which i have seen / eaten in the UK.  I am also an avid reader and have been known to read a book in a few hours if I get the luxury of sitting down uninterrupted.

Kayak Fishing is our other passion. We belong to a website called anglers afloat.  When the weather is right we can be found paddling our beautiful coastline hoping to get a decent fish for tea.

We also travel the country to help promote safety in our sport by assisiting with training days in association with the local RNLI when possible, to educate our members on sea safety and paddle techniques, self rescues etc. all funds raised from these are donated to the RNLI.

We were also fortunate enough to take part in Powys County Council's Disability Day in conjunction with Llangorse Sailing Club.  We worked in teams of three to enable people with disabilities ranging from learning difficulties, wheelchair users, blindness, downs syndrome etc to get out on the water and paddle a kayak.  Then in the afternoon we took those that wanted out to try fishing.  I have to say it has to be one of the best weekends we have ever spent..... so much joy, laughter and emotion shared by all.
